- Pyrithione zinc- is the ingredient that kills bacteria and fungus.
- Salicylic acid and sulfur- work together to moisturize your scalp and reduce flakes.
- Selenium sulfide- kills fungus, but can also discolor hair and scalp.
At home treatments:
Coconut oil: Coconut oil contains lauric acid which has antifungal properties, and it moisturizes the skin.
- rub 3-5 teaspoons of coconut oil onto your scalp and wait for an hour.
Aloe Vera: aloe vera works with well for seborrheic dermatitis.
- Rub a bit of aloe vera into your scalp just before you shampoo.
Apple Cider Vinegar: has antimicrobial effects
- Mix a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup of water, then pour it over your scalp.
- Leave it on for 15 minutes
- Rinse well.
Aspirin: Contains salicylic acid
- Crush 2 aspirin and mix them with your shampoo, then shampoo your hair like regular.
